Wind power and solar power is the two renewable energy that India government focuses on. The government planned to raise the amount of grid of renewable power to 42.5GW with developing these two power during fiscal years from 2017 to 2018.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy(MNRE) has announced that they planned to raise 15GW solar grid, 4.6GW wind power, 750MW bioenergy, 100MW small hydropower during the fiscal year from April 2018 to March 2019; and from April of 2018 to March of 2019 will be the fiscal year for raising 16GW solar grid, 5.2GW wind power, 850MW bioenergy and 100MW small hydropower. The total renewable energy grid rise in these two years will be 42.6GW.

 India planned to reach 100GW solar grid, 60GW wind power by 2022. According to Bridge to India, the solar grid exceeding 10GW is expectable. If the 2 years plan is well executed, then the solar grid in India will reach 35GW by the end of march of 2019, 65 GW to reach the 100GW goal, which means there should be 20GW installed annually during 2019 to 2022.
